Job Description Summary # Job Description This Senior Manager will be instrumental in the transformation of surgical education and training from the traditional in-person model to a blended approach, incorporating virtual remote learning tools and new technologies to meet learning objectives while growing accessibility to educational offerings. This role will support evolving business needs by: + Crafting and executing BU digital education strategy that: - Provides outstanding digital education for US market and in collaboration with OUS Region teams - Educates surgeons and health care professionals to raise awareness of the safety and efficiency of Surgery’s commercial portfolio. - Incorporates world-class customer experience that builds long term relationships with faculty and participants + Evolving BU’s multi-modality digital educational offerings with a focus on virtual curriculum and informative programming, while working with BU Surgical Education Coordinator team on execution. + Lead the creation and management of all digital content on current and future digital technology platforms. + Identify, build and execute omni-channel marketing strategy to support BD Surgery’s Surgical Educational mission and objectives Duties and Position Responsibilities + Execute and evolve virtual/remote educational strategy, which includes a variety of digital technology platforms that support access to customer groups, course offerings, content library archive and on-demand access, including but not limited to: - BD.com micro-site and registration portal, with specific branded sections for Hernia vs. Surgical Specialties content and courses, that provides outstanding messaging, training content and customer access points - Hernia U (faculty teamwork on global hernia curriculum and supporting programming) - Other technology platforms and/or group forums * IHC FB & RSC FB * Society sessions (i.e., ASPS, SAGES, AHS, EHS, ACS) * GlobalMeet, Engauge, Vumedi and other vendors as determined + Direct manager responsibility for “Digital Events Coordinator” role to ensure high quality, timely execution of events and digital programming deliverables as needed to ensure attainment of BU goals. + Develop, track, and manage department digital expenses; metrics reporting; adherence to compliance requirements and procedures; and conduct variety of marketing research surveillance activities to evaluate, supervise and measure program efficiency, effectiveness and customer needs. + Lead website design efforts with appropriate intracompany and/or outside vended teams, to include a background CRM that is GDPR compliant and empowers sales teams to better engage with their customers and prospects. + Responsible for routing and tracking approval for digital material content via the internal regulatory approval process. + Work very effectively with other BU Surgical Educational team members, such as Surgeon Education Regional Managers, Surgeon Education Coordinator team along with BU Platforms to ensure alignment on strategies, tactics, and business objectives, and to achieve the highest impact and success. + Other ad hoc projects as assigned Basic Qualifications: + Bachelor’s Degree + 5+ years of combined experience providing leadership in marketing, training, LMS and, or digital education platforms. + Detailed experience with virtual digital technology programs such as MS Teams, Zoom, Marketo, Sales Force, Adobe Connect, etc. + A record of success measured by accomplishments vs. objectives. Knowledge and Skills Required: + Proven track record to work with others in a team environment. + Strong people leadership and influencing skills. + Demonstrates strong desire for creativity, ownership and accountability. + Strong technology background. + Strong communication/feedback skills. + Willingness and ability to travel both domestically and internationally, approximately 25% of time (unless business restrictions applied).
